What to Book in October If You Want to Look Polished by the Holidays
The invitations are not out yet, but the calendar already is. Thanksgiving, office parties, family photos, New Year’s — they all show up faster than a treatment can settle.
October is the planning month. December is the maintenance month. If the goal is polished, not “just had something done,” the booking window is now.
At Mai’s Perfect Fitz Aesthetics, we do not try to give you a new face for the holidays. We put the polish on the one you already have. Here is how to time it.
The simple rule
The closer the event, the gentler the treatment.
Lasers and collagen work need a series and a little healing time. Injectables need a week or two to look like you, only rested. A HydraFacial can happen the week of the party. A first CO2 treatment should not.
1. Book now: PicoSure Pro and Microneedling
If tone or texture is the thing you notice in photos, October is the start, not the finish.
PicoSure Pro uses ultra-short pulses to soften pigment and refresh dull skin with very little downtime. A series works better than a single visit. Our current face package is three sessions for $699, and a single PicoSure Pro or microneedling-with-PRP session is $199 while that offer lasts.
Microneedling with PRP is the collagen route. Tiny channels wake up repair, and your own platelet-rich plasma supports it. Most people are pink for a day or two. The $599 package of three, spaced a few weeks apart, is the version that actually changes texture — pores, fine lines, acne marks — in time for mid-winter, not just one dinner.
Start those this month. Do not wait until the week you need the photo.
2. Book late October to mid-November: Botox
Botox is the classic holiday treatment because the timing is predictable. Movement softens over several days, and the result usually looks its most natural about two weeks later.
For Thanksgiving, that means an early-November appointment, not the Tuesday before. For December parties, late October through mid-November still leaves room to see how it settled and adjust if you want a light touch-up later.
It is also one of the few treatments that photographs well right away: smoother forehead, softer frown, a little lift at the brow, no recovery day. Right now, 60 units is $9 a unit with $100 off the total — a practical way to treat the areas that actually show up on camera instead of guessing at a small dose.
We keep it conservative. The goal is rested, not frozen.
3. Book two to three weeks out: Filler
Filler is immediate, and that is the trap. You can see the volume the same day. Swelling and the final shape take one to two weeks.
Temples, cheeks, and smile lines are structural. They look best when they have had time to settle into your own proportions. Lips need the same window if you want them photo-ready rather than freshly done.
A late-October or early-November visit is the sweet spot for Thanksgiving. Early December events can still be planned in November. The week of the party is for a HydraFacial, not a new filler map.
4. The week-of appointment: HydraFacial
This is the one to save for the finish.
HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates, and infuses serum in one visit. There is no downtime, which makes it the right call a few days before photos or a dinner. It will not replace a laser series or Botox. It will make the skin you already treated look clearer and more even under makeup and flash.
If you only have one opening in December, make it this.
What to skip the week of the party
A first CO2 treatment, including the Potenza radiofrequency microneedling plus CO2 combination, is a results treatment, not an event treatment. Plan it for a quiet stretch, then enjoy the polish later.
Laser hair removal is the other long game. Starting a Clarity II series now is how you are smooth by next summer, not how you prep for one night. Packages that comp a session or two are the reason to start in the cooler months, when sun exposure is lower.
A holiday calendar that actually works
This month: PicoSure Pro or microneedling series. Deeper laser only if you have recovery time.
Late October to mid-November: Botox, timed about two weeks before the main event.
Two to three weeks before: filler, so swelling is gone and the result looks like you.
The week of: HydraFacial.
Every face is different, which is why we start with a consultation. Tell us the date that matters — Thanksgiving table, company party, Christmas morning — and we will build the plan backward from it.
Book the consultation, mention the holiday you are planning around, and we will match the treatment to the calendar instead of the other way around.
Results vary. Your provider will review your history, timing, and goals before recommending anything.
